    • @John Jackson wrong, Indian scout comes with en electrical speed limit which can be removed. Vrod is way heavier than Scout, Scout is way more agile than Vrod, and Scout is way more cheaper than Vrod... I had V rod, I have now Scout, no regrets... not a bit... and you can have a really good looking scout without selling an organ... ( btw I loved my Nightrod, but... now, if I had to pick one of those, which I can't cause rod aren't produced anymore... I would still pick Scout over V Rod ! ) My Vrod had about 127 Hp, my Scout has 125 Hp, less weight, more agile... so...

  • I Don't like the fowl language you started the video with. The Scout sounds like a Japanese motorcycle and revs like one, too. I know it will out run a Sportster. But I prefer the Sportster for several reasons. One I prefer air cooled engines because they are less trouble. I've owned many motorcycles, liquid cooled and air cooled, I prefer air cooled. The Harley has hydraulic lifters which means you never have to adjust the valve lash. This is very expensive on the Scout. I looked at the Scouts and they are cool motorcycles, but not for me. Is the Scout a Indian built V-Rod? Look where the V-Rod is today.... look at Scout, your time may be limited.

  • Polaris 4 wheelers... I rode a 450cc Polaris utility 4 wheeler for a number of years, and the power from the single cyliinder liquid cooled engine was absolutely astonishing. The 4 wheeler would easily go 65 mph, and cruise easily at that speed with power on reserve, and that is with 2 people. I never could use all of the power, because it was more than it needed. Polaris knows how to make some seriously powerful engines.

  • The FTR is too sporty for me. I love cruisers. Just something about HD feels so American. I love their sound. I kind of wish the scout had a beefier sound. I'm an environmentalist, so I won't sacrifice the health of the planet. I'm sure cats don't take away the sound as much as people say. Indian has made me fall in love with the LC engine on a cruiser. I used to think that an LC engine needed faux air-cooled fins to look good, but Indian had changed me on that. Pound for pound, Indian makes the better cruiser over HD. You just get more with a stock bike. My dream bike is the Indian Cruiser. I keep saying this, my mind is tellin me Indian, but my body is telling me HD. There's still time. If HD can create a LC bike that rumbles like the air cooled one, or make AC better for the environment, they're back in the game for me. Love your videos Spite! Iove you both, but you and I are more on the same level with bikes.

  • Harley knows how to make more power, but they are more worried about keeping the old look to their engines, no liquid cooling and no innovations with technology. Indian was willing to make more power and possibly risk their old look to their bikes. There’s a video on it and it’s from Fortnine he explains it very well. Harley knows how to make the power but aren’t wanting to risk it.

He said people complained because it didn't shake the living piss out of them when they got on it. So Harley literally had to set the engine off tooth to make it rumble. I own a sportster, but even I give credit where its due. Indian is definitely the next bike I will make an effort to look at.

This thing is FAST. It's a great value and the only thing Harley people can beat their chest about is aftermarket. The Indian is the better bike by a long shot.
